大约十五天左右即有幼虫孵出。这时会看到有一部分幼虫在枝条上爬上爬下。金蝉卵必须全部孵化成幼虫才可投放至树下，（错误做法：大约孵化出幼虫20%的时候就要进行掩埋，埋坑选择多细软毛根的地区，以便幼虫能吸取根上的养分，）较好选择在种植金银花的地块中。
